On September 4, 2008 at approximately 11:07 p.m., Deputies with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an unresponsive person at a residence on Old Blounts Creek Road in Chocowinity N.C. Deputies located the body of Jesus Carrazco Aldape, age 27, of Elks Mobile Home Park in Chocowinity. The Sheriff’s Office began an investigation conducted interviews. Evidence collected at the scene indicates that Aldape’s death was a result of foul play. The investigation is on-going and no arrests have been made at this time. On August 22, 2008, Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested Joseph Tyrell Sanders, 27 years of age, of 43 Roxie Reese Road in Plymouth and Shamela Ashon Peele, of 125 1D Hawthorne Avenue in Brooklyn, New York. Sanders and Peele were charged with Trafficking in Cocaine. Their arrest stemmed from Investigator purchasing 110 grams of cocaine from Sanders and Peele. Investigators arrested Sanders and Peele immediately after purchasing the cocaine. The estimated street value of 110 grams of cocaine is approximately $11,000.00. On August 15, 2008, Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested Keane Lamar Gorham, 29 years of age, of 809 West Ninth Street in Washington. Gorham was charged with Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Gorham’s arrest stemmed from Investigators making purchases of marijuana from Gorham and executing a Search Warrant at Gorham’s residence. Investigators and Canine Ronnie found approximately 42 plastic bags containing marijuana and digital scales. ![]() On September 16, 2008, Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested Derrick Gardner, 37 years of age, of 311 Tobacco Road in Greenville. Gardner was charged with Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Heroin, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Resisting a Public Officer and three counts of Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer. Gardner’s arrest stemmed from Investigators conducting a traffic stop on a vehicle that was occupied by Gardner. Canine Ronnie alerted on the vehicle for the presence of a controlled substance. Gardner attempted to flee on foot while Investigators conducted a search. Gardner was apprehended after a short foot chase. Gardner resisted arrest by biting, kicking and struggled with three Investigators. Gardner was searched and found to be in possession of eight bags of Heroin, one bag of Cocaine and snorting straws. On September 18, 2008, Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested Linwood Stokesberry, 61 years of age, of Maple Creek Drive in Washington. Stokesberry was charged with Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Heroin and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Stokesberry ’s arrest stemmed from Investigators conducting surveillance on Stokesberry after receiving information that Stokesberry was involved in the use and distribution of Heroin. Investigators conducted a traffic stop on Stokesberry and conducted a search. Investigators and Canine Ronnie found 12 bags of Heroin and a bag of syringes. On September 17, 2008, Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested Andrew Beacham III, 23 years of age, of 212 Slatestone Drive in Washington. Beacham was charged with four counts of Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Beacham’s arrest stemmed from Investigators making purchases of marijuana from Beacham and executing a search warrant at Beacham’s residence. Investigators and Canine Ronnie found 42 grams of marijuana, digital scales and packaging material. Beacham was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $20,000.00 secured bond. On August 13, 2008, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office received a report involving the exploitation of an elderly person. The victim reported that a family member had been assisting him with paying his bills. The victim discovered a problem after he got notice his mortgage was in foreclosure. The Sheriff’s Office began an investigation, reviewed evidence, and conducted interviews. On August 27, 2008, Investigator Jim Martin applied for and obtained warrants charging Kizzy Moore Langley, age 31, of Willow Street in Washington with one count of Exploitation of Disabled/Elderly, one count of Financial Identity Theft and one count of Obtaining Property by False Pretenses. In March of 2008, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office began receiving reports of Burglary and Larceny from residents in the Pinecrest Road area of Bath, N.C. The Sheriff’s Office began an investigation, reviewed evidence, and conducted interviews. Five different reports were filed between March and September. Based on evidence and information collected during the investigation, Investigator Jim Martin applied for and obtained warrants charging Marcia Annette Ellis, age 29, of Pinecrest Road in Bath with two counts of First Degree Burglary, two counts of Felony Larceny, two counts of Simple Possession of Marijuana, and two counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
