On April 19th,
2009, Patrol Deputy Stephen Harding with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office
was patrolling the Edward area of Beaufort County. At approximately 1:00 p.m., he observed a
vehicle being operated by a person with a revoked driver’s license. Harding stopped the vehicle on Bonnerton Road
and spoke to the driver, Gemean Tiyoung
Moore, age 29, of Bonnerton Road in Edward.
Moore refused to follow lawful commands and was taken into custody for Resisting a Public Officer and Driving While License Revoked. Moore was transported to the Magistrate’s Office and held
in the Beaufort County Detention Center on a $3500.00 secured bond issued by
Magistrate Donald Sadler. During a
search of Moore’s person in the Detention Center, Harding seized a plastic bag
containing twelve smaller bags of marijuana and a substance believed to be
crack cocaine. A marijuana cigar was
also found in Moore’s sock. Harding then obtained charges on Moore for Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver
Marijuana, Possession of Cocaine, and Possession
of a Controlled Substance in a Jail.
Moore was held on an additional $150,000.00 secured bond as a result of
the drug charges.

On March 19th, 2009, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s
Office received a report of an assault that occurred at a residence on Lloyd’s
Lane in Washington. Deputies responded
to the scene and discovered several firearms were inside the residence. Deputies learned the suspect was a convicted
felon, and the firearms were seized. The
Sheriff’s Office began an investigation and conducted several interviews. On April 21st, Investigator Jamie Cahoon applied for and obtained a warrant charging Daryl Craig Sudderth, age 54, of Lloyd’s Lane in Washington, NC with one felony count of Possession of a Firearm by a Felon. Sudderth was arrested and brought before Magistrate D. Sadler. Sudderth was held in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $1,000 secured bond. On April 15, 2009, Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested Wesley Lines, 57 years of age and Lisa Lines, 44 years of age, of 210 Neal Branch Road in Grimesland. Wesley Lines was charged with Possession of Marijuana, Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Lisa Lines was charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Their arrest stemmed from Investigators conducting a vehicle stop on Wesley and Lisa Lines a short distance from their residence. Investigators found a small quantity of marijuana and a marijuana smoking pipe in the vehicle. Investigators conducted a search of Wesley and Lisa Lines residence after a search of the vehicle was complete. Investigators found approximately 115 grams of marijuana that was packaged for resale, scales and numerous firearms. Wesley Lines was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center Under a $5,000.00 secured bond. Lisa Lines was released under a $1000.00 unsecured bond. On April 16, 2009, Investigators with the
Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit served arrest warrants on Jesus
Ruiz, 22 years of age, of 383 Sams Road in Chocowinity. Ruiz was charged with Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Cocaine and Possession of
Drug Paraphernalia. Ruiz’s
arrest stemmed from Investigators making a purchase of cocaine from Ruiz. Ruiz was confined in the Beaufort County Detention

On On
August 11, 2008, Investigator Jim Martin applied for and obtained warrants
charging Lisa Jo Brewer, age 50, of
Queenstown, Maryland with two counts of Financial
Identity Theft and three counts of Obtaining
Property by False Pretenses. On
November 17, 2008, a Beaufort County Grand Jury issued a True Bill of
Indictment on the above charges and an additional charge of Embezzlement. Lisa
Brewer was apprehended in San Francisco, California on March 17, 2009. Brewer was tracked down with the assistance
of District Attorney’s Office Investigator
Roger Simms. Brewer was extradited to
Beaufort County and was served with the Indictments on April 14, 2009. Brewer was held on a $500,000.00 secured bond

On March 30, 2009, Investigators with the
Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested Robert Ange, 35 years of
age, of 366 Robersonville Road in Washington.
Ange was charged with Felony
Possession of Anabolic Steroids a Schedule III Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Ange’s
arrest stemmed from Investigators executing a search warrant at his
residence. Investigators found
approximately 110 dosage units of liquid vials containing anabolic steroids,
syringes, needles and numerous pills used for muscle growth enhancement. Ange was
confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $25,000.00 secured

On April 13, 2009, Investigators with the
Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested Kieran Hardison aka Champ,
21 years of age, of 113 Ore Court in Washington and Richard Earl Williams Jr.
of 406 East Thirteenth Street in Washington. Hardison was charged with two counts of Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Marijuana,
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Conspiracy to Sell and Deliver Marijuana. Williams
was charged with three counts of Possession
with Intent to Sell and Deliver
Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. There arrest stemmed from Investigators
purchasing marijuana from Hardison and Williams. Investigators learned from surveillance that
Hardison was the main supplier.
Investigators conducted a search of Hardison’s residence and found
digital scales and packaging material used to repackage marijuana. Hardison was
confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $35,000.00 secured
bond. Williams
was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $25,000.00 secured

On April 09, 2009, Investigators with the
Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit served arrest warrants on Shawn
Xavier Credle, 41 years of age, of 717 East Twelfth Street in Washington. Credle was charged with three counts of Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver
Cocaine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Credle’s
arrest stemmed from Investigators making three purchases of crack cocaine from
Credle. Credle was
confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $50,000.00 secured

On April 09, 2009, Investigators with the
Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested Alan Donell Albritton, 38
years of age, of 321 East Thirteenth Street in Washington. Albritton was charged with three counts of Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver
Cocaine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Albritton’s
arrest stemmed from Investigators making purchases of crack cocaine from Albritton
at 717 Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington.
Investigators arrested Albritton and executed a Search Warrant at 717
Pennsylvania Avenue. Investigators found
an additional 5.5 grams of crack cocaine and packaging material used to
repackage crack cocaine. Albritton was
confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $30,000.00 secured

On March 25, 2009, Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested Kevin Lamont Boomer, 31 years of age, of 107 Sandpoint Drive in Washington. Boomer was charged with two counts of Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Cocaine within 1000 feet of a Child Care Center, Trafficking in Cocaine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Boomer’s arrest stemmed from Investigators making purchases of crack cocaine from Boomer. Investigators executed a Search Warrant at Boomer’s residence and found approximately 32 grams of crack cocaine, plastic baggies used to repackage a controlled substance and marked US Currency that was used to purchase crack cocaine from Boomer. Boomer was confinedi n the Beaufort County Detention Center Under a $100,000.00 secured bond. At the time of this latest arrest, Boomer was free from jail under a $20,000.00 secured bond. This bond was set when the Sheriff’s Office Investigators arrested Boomer on December 02, 2008 for Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Cocaine. On February 19, 2009, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office received a report from the Beaufort County Department of Social Services involving multiple sex offenses that occurred in the Pinetown area. The Sheriff’s Office began an investigation, reviewed evidence, and conducted interviews. On March 24, 2009, Investigator Jim Martin applied for and obtained warrants charging Kenneth Wayne Manning, Sr., age 56, of Germantown Road in Scranton N.C. with one count of First Degree Statutory Rape, two counts of Crimes Against Nature, two counts of First Degree Statutory Sex Offense, one count of First Degree Kidnapping, one count of Felony Disseminate Obscenity to a Minor and one count of Indecent Liberties with a Child. Manning is still at large. He is a white male approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, with hazel eyes and brown hair. Manning was last seen driving a green 1990’s model Pontiac Grand Am.
